I just started my window cleaning business what is the best way to get customers ?

February 6th, 2010

I don’t have any customers yet cause i didn’t do any advertising yet so any IDEAS about how to get customers fast

The *only* way that people will know you have a business is to advertise. In your case, I would focus on the businesses in your area. Put out flyers, post cards, new customer offers, etc. You have to get your name and services out there. Don’t forget the Yellow pages, either. For your type of business, it’s a good referral source.

If your situation is that you are low on funds for advertising, do some cold calling — walk door to door and give out your business cards, post flyers and hand out your "new customer" offers in person.

There really is no "sure fire" way to get customers fast, you have to work at it and 1st and foremost — get your name out there where people can see it!

Good Luck!

Will window cleaner kill ants if it is sprayed on them?

February 6th, 2010

I have some crawling on a certain section of my baseboard in my living room. How do i get rid of them?

The ammonia in the window cleaner usually kills most insects. I use it on hornets and bees when they are somewhere I don’t want to use a heavy duty bug killer. Usually they just slow down pretty quick and then die. I also like that with the stinging insects because they don’t really get the chance to get aggressive once you hit them.

You can always use an ant trap. That usually does the job with less work. The poison gets back to the nest usually as well.

do you have window cleaners?

February 6th, 2010

do you have window cleaners that clean residential houses in America

Yes, we do and I happen to live in a home where it is safer and necessary to hire them. We have 2 story high windows in both our living room and bedroom that would be difficult to access ourselves. The window cleaners are licensed, bonded and insured as well as the fact that they have the correct equipment including a very tall ladder and scaffolding to reach windows that high. Nearly everyone in my neighborhood has their windows cleaned by professionals.

Why am I so paranoid, I feel like I can not do anything…?

February 6th, 2010

Since finding that I am pregnant I have been nervous that something will be wrong with baby because the air has pollution when my windows are down, my family cleans the house with bleach sometimes and they use string cleaning supplies when cleaning the bathroom at work. Also my dog had gotten sick and had diarrhea and was vomiting but Ii did not clean it my mother did but with bleach and soap water. Then a skunk sprayed and I smelled that while lying in the bed. Do you guys think these things will harm baby? I mean I am literally scared to breath or clean anything. Help!

Well, I don’t think the skunk or dog smell is a problem; but the bleach is. You should try to avoid the room until the bleach smell has cleared out – whoever is doing the cleaning should make sure the room is well-ventilated. If you do have to clean something, make sure the room is ventilated and that you wear rubber gloves. Try to avoid the work bathroom until the cleaning smell has dissolved, and you will be fine.

Dreams Question: what was your dream?

February 6th, 2010

Ok, now what is one of your dreams you actually remember. I’m just doing this for fun. See starting now, i’m typing my dreams on microsoft word right after I wake up and I try real hard to keep them in my memory. But everyone try to think and what was a dream that you actaually remember right now? It doesn’t even have to make sense. Could be scary, could be funny, or sad. For example, this is the dream i first had when i had the idea of typing my dreams up. I call them "DreamVision."

it’s now 7:25 A.M. and this is my first time typing up my dreams and making it into a short dream story called “Dream Vision.” The date is January 22nd. 2009, and each day, I’m going to try to type every single dream I remember. And if I don’t, then I’ll just type the date and time I had it.

Title: The Shining, then Mom’s Party.

Wow! It’s really hard trying to start this dream out, but I’m going to try it. It was actually a dream I had 5 nights ago. Jan. 17th. 2009. Have you ever seen the movie “The Shining”? If you have, that’s the movie I dreamed about. The only thing I remember was I was standing in the snow while it was dark outside. And the snow was really deep. But I wasn’t cold at all. In fact, I didn’t feel a thing. I just remember seeing the boy from the shining. He was ahead of me, and he was running. I looked back and saw Jack Nicholson (the phsyco from the shining.) And he had that big axe. And he was running, too. But not after me, I figured he was running after the boy. And it all felt like slow motion, but I was running for the boy, too. Not to catch him, but to help him, or something. Protect him from Jack. I chased after the boy, and Jack was not RIGHT behind me, but he was just behind me running, mostly just jogging. He still had the axe. Then as I was still running, I looked forward at the boy again, and I was getting closer to him. But he kept running. The next thing I know, Jack cuts right in front of me and starts speeding towards the kid. I knew Jack wasn’t after me, but the snow was real deep, and I couldn’t really run. He got right up by the boy, and the boy tripped. I saw Jack was right above him, and he raised the axe and right before he slammed it down, Danny (the boy) got up and dodged it real fast, then started running again. Then Jack roared loudly then turned towards me, and slowly raised the axe behind his shoulders and slowly chucked it at me while he roared. But the axe was moving toward me real slow. I thought I could dodge it. But the thing is, I was moving just as slow as the axe was. So I managed to dodge it, and I remember there was a wooden pole right behind me, and the axe dug right into it. Then the pole turned out to be a tree. I looked in my hand, and found a little axe in my right hand. I have no idea how I got it, but I just chucked it at Jack. And this time, it was just normal motion. I started running as fast as I could, but it was like my legs were under water. The snow was real deep, and I couldn’t run that fast. But as I was running, out of the corner of my eye I saw the axe hit Jack in the heart and the shoulder part somewhere in there. He roared again, and I looked straight ahead and kept trying to run fast. But it was still slow motion with my legs and feet. I looked back and he was chasing after me now. But he was kind of far behind even though I WAS scared. Then there was a house in front of me. I turned out to be in someone’s backyard. This is still the same scene, but a house just appeared and the whole time I was running, and Jack was coming after me and the boy, well…It was all in someone’s back yard. So now, there’s still snow on the ground. I looked back and didn’t see Jack or Danny at all. I looked back at the house and it looked like a brown cabin with lots of lights on and had 3 windows. But it was not a cabin it was just a brown small house. And I went to the front of it, and it looked familiar (like one of my friend’s houses but not sure which.) So I just walked on in. And I saw my Mom there and she was with a lot of her friends and they were having some sort of party there. So I went in, (COMPLETELY forgot about The Shining scene. Like it never even happened.) And my Mom said “Hi, Tony you made it.” Then she told me to grab a plate and get something to eat. I told her ok, and someone had cranberry juice or something in the kitchen. When I entered the kitchen, they accidently spilled it on my white shoes. I remember I was actually kind of mad. But all I had to do was clean it off in the bathroom, so I went in there. I got water, and a rag and stuff and I tried my best to get it off. I don’t really know how I was trying to get it off, but I know in real life, it wouldn’t be that difficult. I ended up taking my shoe off (because only one of my shoes were stained.) Then I stuck it in the sink and turned on the faucet, first cold then hot. Then I kept scrubbing it, trying to get it off, but it was just so difficult. While I was doing that, my Mom then wa

How can I fix problems with installing Nero 8?

February 6th, 2010

I keep getting this message when I try to install:

"A system reboot was requested by a previous software installation (e.g. a Windows update). Please reboot your computer to resume the installation of Nero 8."

I tried to uninstall Nero 7, run the Clean Tool, and install Nero 8 but this does not work.

I have tried deleting the values in the registry through "regedit": find Key / HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl… Manager / Value: "PendingFileRenameOperations" as recommended by Eric T but this is not working either.

I don’t understand what is not working, does anyone have any other suggestions or am I overlooking something that would block installation?

Any help and info is very much appreciated! :)
p.s. I forgot to mention I have Windows XP Pro if that helps.
I was trying to avoid writing to Nero for help since their site is not very helpful.

I have tried rebooting but the problem does not go away.

I downloaded the Tune-Up 2007 program (it works great to clean up the registry!) but this did not fix my problem.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

hai

you might have installed some cleaner software that will clear all history & temporary files whenever your system restarts.

1. Please turnoff autocleaner (May be ccleaner, etc..) service (temporally)
2. Run Nero 8 setup
3. while asking for restart , restart it (make sure that your ccleaner or any other temporary file cleaner software is turned off)

A 14.00 mL sample of a particular window cleaner requires 34.95 mL of 0.0808 M HCl for its titration. What is?

February 6th, 2010

Most window cleaners are aqueous solutions of ammonia. A 14.00 mL sample of a particular window cleaner requires 34.95 mL of 0.0808 M HCl for its titration. What is the molarity of ammonia in the window cleaner?

0.20 molar amonium hydroxide solution

34.95 times 0.0808 divided by 14 equals 0.20 molar
