Why am I so paranoid, I feel like I can not do anything…?

February 6th, 2010 | by admin |

Since finding that I am pregnant I have been nervous that something will be wrong with baby because the air has pollution when my windows are down, my family cleans the house with bleach sometimes and they use string cleaning supplies when cleaning the bathroom at work. Also my dog had gotten sick and had diarrhea and was vomiting but Ii did not clean it my mother did but with bleach and soap water. Then a skunk sprayed and I smelled that while lying in the bed. Do you guys think these things will harm baby? I mean I am literally scared to breath or clean anything. Help!

Well, I don’t think the skunk or dog smell is a problem; but the bleach is. You should try to avoid the room until the bleach smell has cleared out – whoever is doing the cleaning should make sure the room is well-ventilated. If you do have to clean something, make sure the room is ventilated and that you wear rubber gloves. Try to avoid the work bathroom until the cleaning smell has dissolved, and you will be fine.

Well, staying in a room with bleach fumes isn’t really good for anyone. Try asking your mom to switch to an all natural cleaner for the remainder of your pregnancy. I use this kind cause it smells like lemons.

When you are pregnant your hormones go crazy. It is very normal to have weird dreams and thoughts during this time. Stay away from harsh chemicals that you can smell, like bleach if possible. Dog throw up is not going to hurt you, but if you have a cat do not clean the litter box as there is something toxic that can be passed to the baby from cat poop. The hormones can make your nose sensitive too. So smells can make you feel sick, but they won’t harm the baby.

i think you are overeacting quite a bit……none of those things will really harm baby….unless you sit there and sniff bleach all damn day….c’mon you got to stopbeing so paranoid….how many generations of people have grown up with no knowledge of any of these things and babies turned out just fine……people see what the media does nowadays? they just try to scare the hell out of you. you cant do anything without it causing cancer nowadays i cant take a leak without it causing cancer….its crazy…air polution is not going to greatly affect you or your baby…look at the chinese, the air there is the worst in the world and they got so many damn chinamen it aint funny…and they also are some of the healthiest ppl in the world with some of the longest life spans…so i think the media is feeding us all a bunch of bs….they think we will believe anything
