I just started my window cleaning business what is the best way to get customers ?
February 6th, 2010 | by admin |I don’t have any customers yet cause i didn’t do any advertising yet so any IDEAS about how to get customers fast
The *only* way that people will know you have a business is to advertise. In your case, I would focus on the businesses in your area. Put out flyers, post cards, new customer offers, etc. You have to get your name and services out there. Don’t forget the Yellow pages, either. For your type of business, it’s a good referral source.
If your situation is that you are low on funds for advertising, do some cold calling — walk door to door and give out your business cards, post flyers and hand out your "new customer" offers in person.
There really is no "sure fire" way to get customers fast, you have to work at it and 1st and foremost — get your name out there where people can see it!
Good Luck!

Start a transport company servicing the construction industry.
That way, you dirty everyone’s windows when you transport rubble, sand, stone, etc
One company makes the mess, the other cleans it up.
Heads you win, tales, everyone else loses.

I had a friend that started a window washing business. He printed up flyers and hand delivered them to mailboxes in his community. Business was outstanding…he couldn’t keep up.
Good luck to you.

If you can afford it, get yourself some bussiness cards & if your doing the downtown area, drop one off at each business, & see how that goes, or do it in just your nieghborehood, & sit back & wait for the calls to come in, have a calander book handy to mark down adresses & times, when people want there windows done, good luck.

To get customers use these ideas:
Advertising (paper, phone book, billboards, fliers, radio)
word of mouth
doorknockers (hang on doors in neighborhoods)
Fliers (on cars in shopping centers)
Hook up with a Professional Cleaning Service (housekeeping) and give them a referal fee for each customer they refer to you like 10%.
Sign on vehicle advertising business
Business cards on bulletin boards
Call names in Phone book in local area and offer them a first time deal off their first cleaning.
I have owned many businesses in the last 30 years and advertising and being in the yellow pages works wonders.
Good Luck

Congrats on starting your own business – you’ve taken a step many people wish they had the courage to take!
You have a "service" business and with a limited budget the best way to get customers is to…
See the people!
You need to go to where your customers are…
- Create some fliers, business cards, post cards, anything that sells your business. List the benefits of doing business with you.
Then, visit the people and/or businesses that are your potential clients.
Walk into a store and ask to speak to the owner or manager. Hand them a business card, flier, or promotional item and state…
"Hi, I’m Joe with Spot Free Window Cleaning and I’m out introducing myself to business owners. I understand that you’re busy and I’m just dropping in so I’d like to leave some information on my business and how we can benefit you and your organization."
"Would Tuesday or Thursday at 10:00 am work best for you to speak to you more about my services?"
You’d be surprised at how many customers you can pick up this way.
Do the same with residents too.
Offer discounts, referrals, and coupons.

Word of mouth. Go knock on doors. They will not come looking for you.
